Stone, especially flint, was a very important material for people living in Prehistoric Ireland. Drop in to our ground floor education space and meet archaeologist Dave O’Reilly to handle replica stone tools and weapons and learn more about how people living in Ireland thousands of years ago used stone to their advantage.

Free Sunday Sketching in Hugh Lane Gallery - 25 June

 

During these workshops for families we invite you to explore and respond to our permanent collection and temporary exhibitions such as Port Life: Eugeen van Mieghem, through discussion and drawing. Parents must stay with children at all times. Bring your own sketchbook along or avail of the drawing materials provided. Suitable for kids over 4.

 

 

Midsummer Garden Party in Killruddery House and Gardens - 25 June

 

All-singing, all-ukulele playing trio " The Kooky Ukes" will turn tracks inside out and serve them back to you with a totally new vibrant flavour on our main lawn from 12pm to 3pm along with lots of garden games for all the family from 11am- 4pm. Killruddery will have our own farmed pig on the spit, sweet and savory crepes and our usual Tea room delights.
