Events for the weekend (1&2 July)
The weather is not THAT promising this week, but let's hope for the best as there are many cool outdoor events this weekend in Dublin:
Free Entry! Visit a weird and wonderful collection of animal sculptures. Along with a brand new limestone seal, amongst these quirky, lovable animals you will find a flying horse, a tortoise with a secret story and a toucan in disguise!
For all budding crafters join us in The Calf House and let your creative juices flow! Drop-in throughout the days listed below for some relaxed make and do fun. Get cutting, sticking, gluing and colouring to create your own unique masterpiece.
Farmleigh welcomes you to their funny farm. The event will cover family friendly stand-up comedy shows with the Punch Lion Kids’ Comedy, comedy workshops, amusing story-telling, comedy for parents and babies and silly ‘walkabout’ performers.
The fun begins at 10.30am for the sculpting and 2.30pm for the sandcastles. With judging and prizegiving at 4.30pm.
The theme for this year’s National Play Day is ‘Fun and Active Play’ which is aimed at promoting fun and active play outdoors. Running, climbing, jumping, outdoor street games, action songs, skipping and cycling are just some activities encouraged to improve children’s physical and social development.
This free, family friendly event promises to be a great day out for animal lovers with a wide range of activities, stalls and entertainment.
