Review
Powerscourt Waterfall is Ireland's highest waterfall, so it is a must see for everyone living in Dublin or visiting this beautiful city. Near the waterfall, next to the kiosk, there is a small playground aimed especially at older kids (4+), but for toddlers there are two baby swings and a sand pit with diggers, too, so children of all ages are catered for. In the summer, usually there are many flies, bees, insects trying to scare you away, so having an insect repellent in your bag might be a good idea. In front of the waterfall, there is a great open area, where you can have a picnic or bbq and of course you can play ball games with the kids, too. Unfortunately if you wish, you can park right next to the waterfall, but in my opinion it is much better to leave the car near the kiosk and walk a bit, than playing and having a picnic between zillions of cars... In the summer, the place can be very busy, so if you can, go on a weekday to enjoy this quiet and peaceful place.
How to get there: It is advised to visit the place by car.
Entry is priced
