Review
Bushy park is one of the most popular parks in South Central Dublin and although parking near the park can be tricky, it is worth the effort. On Saturdays there is a market in the park, so driving around the area is very difficult then, but on weekdays and on Sunday it's a little bit easier. The playground located close to the duck pond is spacious and has its sunny and shady spots as well. There is a helicopter and a truck to facilitate pretend play, there are several climbing structures, slide units and some swings scattered randomly among the other playing equipment. There is a new sand pit which is a big favourite of toddlers and next to the playground there is also a long zipline for older children. Near the playground there is a skate park and as the park is more than 20 hectares, there is plenty of space to take a long walk, picnic or spot squirrels and interesting birds. If you visit the park, don't forget to check out the stepping stones and the "green lake", both are big hits with toddlers and older children alike.
