Review
The bigger playground in Marley Park is definitely one of the coolest playgrounds in Dublin. To be honest, it is our all time favourite, because it is exciting, very well-maintained and it boasts several unique and inviting attractions we have never seen anywhere else in the county. It consists five different areas: toddler / child / adventure / teen and sensory. It is impossible to list all play equipment that can be found in this playground, so you can take it for granted that your kids will be amazed by the place regardless of their age. The only problem with the playground is that it is seriously addictive: once you have visited it, you will have to cope with the fact that your child is craving for the place where "there are hill-slides, sand pit and even an airplane". At the entrance of the playground there are some public toilets, which is great, especially if you are in the middle of toilet-training with your toddler. In front of the playground, some outdoor gym equipment can be found as well and in the summer, usually there is an ice-cream van to challenge your parental skills.
After visiting the playground, you can take a walk in the enormous Marley park, where there is a market each Sunday (arrive early if you want to find a parking space) and where finding the Fairy Tree is an absolute must, if you have kids. In the summer, a mini road train is operating every Saturday in the park, so make sure not to miss it if you are around!
How to get there: Bus: 16, 116, 161
